Over the past several months I starting getting the AR itch, and finally scratched it last week when I bought nb forrest's Bushmaster XM-15. Besides hunting rifles and shotguns, I've been mainly a handgun guy.
I ended up going out to Hero Gear this past weekend to get some goodies for the Bushy
(first time, was not prepared for the sensory overload I experienced before walking through the door 
, it literally took me 5 minutes before I came out of my coma) , and while I was there decided to get an FS2000 as well
(had been wanting one for a bit, and Joe gave me a great deal on one). Other than what I've briefly read, I don't really know much else about it. I went with the FS mainly to be used as a less than a 100 yd gun that'll remain pretty much stock (if not completely), that I can use for home defense and also be able to throw in the car. Are there many FS2000 guys on here? The gun did not come with an owners manual (not that I read much of them), but I want to make sure there's nothing important that I need to know before heavy range use, etc.
Hopefully it'll be easy to take down, but again I'm new to the AR game. Thanks for any feedback/suggestions. Can't wait to get them both to the range.
