When I lived in Shreveport, one of those "civic/political" groups did a gun buy and several individuals and a couple of dealers set up out on the sidewalk offering more than the $20 that was being offered inside. The dealers were even nice enough to let the private buyers have first dibs on the good stuff that showed up. I remember one guy bought a 1911 for $50 and the person dumping it was very happy.
