Thanks for the heads up but why would I (or anyone else) want to fax a copy of my drivers license to them?

See this AIMSurplus, your home for surplus ammunition, guns and firearms.

SImple, it's their rules. You must be over 21, giving them a copy to put on file will show that they only sold ammunition to someone over 21. Could you "forge" a copy and send it in yup.

But what it boils down to is that if you want to buy ammo from them, you must play by their rules.

It may also show that they are playing by state laws as well. I don't know. I have bought ammo from them before, and had no problem with sending them a copy of my ID. Only have to do it once, now it is permanently on file with them. No biggie in my book.

How do I buy Ammunition from AIM, Inc.?You must be at least 21 years old and have never been convicted of a felony. You must also have a copy of your Federal Firearms License, and/or State ID, and any other required State or Local license on file with us at or before the time of order. All first time ammunition customers (who do not already have a Federal Firearms License on file with us) must Fax, Email, or Mail a copy of his/her State issued Drivers License or State Identification to verify date of birth. This must be completed before, or at the time the order is placed*. If your State of Residence requires a separate state issued license to purchase ammunition, then a copy of this state issued document must be faxed before an order for ammunition will be processed. When faxing, mailing, or emailing your ammunition order, please include your order number, and/or customer number with license(s) copy (Your Customer number consists of zip code and Last Name/Business Name, example 45066-Smith). It is important that you follow the above steps, as an order placed prior to receiving your State Photo ID, and any other State Required License will be considered an invalid order. For more details on purchasing Ammunition, and State and Local laws pertaining to Purchasing Ammunition, click the link to our Ammunition Purchasing Requirements page.

Once you send it to them once they never ask again. Also they have excellent customer service. I would whole-heartedly recommend them.

A BIG +1 to that. I used to live in Cincinnati and spent way too much $$$ there. I still use them for purchases now that I live 350 miles away.

I would balk at that DL requirement also. I'm getting sooo tired of the big brother crap. They have extensive rules posted mostly derived from the requirements of each state so they seem to be doing the right thing.
It's getting harder to know who you can trust but my instincts tell me they are okay. The prices are very good.

My question is all their ammo made in Russia? How is the quality? I would guess it would be very good ammo...

The Tula ammo is Russian(thats the factory name)...the other ammo on AIMs site varies...its all name brand stuff though. Also if you want to know origin and its not listed you can email them and typically will get a response within 24hours if not sooner.
