Help with Stevens Rifle

I'm looking for some history of a hand me down Stevens .22 (model, value, general history). It seems like they made a million of these yet there's not a lot of details about them on the internet that I can find. I'm not sure how the pictures will look since I resized them but I can describe what they are if need be. I have read about the common models but this doesn't seem to fit their description so I thought it might be a little more unique.

It looks like a model 49 or 50.
