Ever notice how so many people think you're a wimp, or need to take martial arts to protect yourself, instead of get a gun? I think it's a stupid argument. Guys like this victim don't have that option, and many others of us simply don't have the time to spare...between kids, job, home, etc. We still should have a right to defend ourselves.

That guy was in a wheelchair. I know that some people may get a different views because he's handicapped but that doesnt mean he's not smart or anything...he just proved himself that he was capable of defending himself from becoming a potential victim to crime...it just shows that people need to QUIT judging other people for the problems they have, and let them be on their own business...if the people want to learn martial arts...let them but they will find out the hard way that the best path is to have a gun for self-defense because if the intruder has a gun, he's not gonna have a problem shooting you if your unarmed.

Learning the safe and practical use of a firearm IS a martial art.
I had the pleasure of talking to an old timer while working here in Las Vegas. His son owns a dojo and the man was 70 years old...he still goes and teaches folks how to defend themselves. The techniques that we all use to identify a potential problem are the same...the only thing that is different is the method we use to take care of the problem.

"yah, hello? I need someone to bring an ambulance and a police officer out to my address. Some nut tried to break into my house and attack me...I had to shoot the crazy SOB...
Sir? where are you? you say you have a gun? is the intruder ok? are you ok? am I ok? we have a Police officer en route to you but its going to be a few minutes...
No need to rush lady..as a matter of fact, ask him to stop by walmart and get me a bigger mop..this critter is leakin all over my kitchen tile."

Why do they refer to a mentally deranged criminal in the commission of a crime a "shooting victim??" Not a victim... "the mentally deranged intruder was shot while beating an innocent victim" would be much more accurate.
Police will be there in a few minutes, to collect evidence and call coroner.

It only takes seconds to dial 911, it could take the rest of your life for them to get there.
