It has to do with how close crime comes, according to El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa, a proponent of concealed carriers.
"When crime starts to interfere with their life, then the quality of life goes down. It's a reality: police cannot be everywhere all the time," says Maketa.

Thank you, Wanesan, that was great to watch. What a breath of fresh air. Common sense, good journalism. I feel better, younger, think I'll log off and go see what the wife is doing.

Thanks Wanesan enjoyed seeing a common sense piece on carry that was pro gun.
Perhaps all of these shootings can have positive effect on the perception of RKBA.

Colorado is a very nice state if you like guns, like many western states. You can carry openly walking around without a license, you can carry concealed or open in your car without a license, and of course conceal with a license. The licenses there are good anywhere EXCEPT public K-12 schools. You can still keep a handgun loaded in your car at public K-12 schools. Bars, churches, govt buildings, colleges, all are good to go if you have a license, even PRIVATE k-12 schools (what a good reason to put kids in private school if you can afford it).
