Sheriff Tom Wall From Dickson County is a friend to legally armed citizens. He is the first Tennessee Sheriff to speak out on the controversal issue regarding the Tennessee Sheriff's Association, the Tennessee Public Safety Coalition, and the restaurant carry bill. Here is his statement.

Now the media are saying that the Tennessee Sheriff’s and Chief’s
are opposed to this bill because a few Sheriff’s and Chief’s signed a
petition. There are 95 Sheriff’s across the state and I believe most
of them are smart enough to read the bill and understand it’s intent
without all the liberal slant the media is giving it. Most all of the
Sheriff’s and Chief’s I’ve spoken to are supporting the bill.


I have said this many times. Most cops I know (and I know many) support legally armed citizens. Most LEO’s are with us on this not against us. They don’t get to make laws, they just take an oath to enforce them whether they agree with them or not.

Police and Sheriffs associations are no more than clubs and political organizations not law enforcement agencies. They can claim whatever the like.

And he is gone. By chance are you involved in getting his replacement, specifically on the Republican side? One of the candidates is VERY pro-gun. Heres to hoping we can get him the R nomination.

That's great to hear, especially after repeatedly hearing Chief Serpas denounce restaurant carry. :mad:
