View Full Version : Interested in Reloading Class??

The Rabbi
04-23-2008, 01:42 AM
From several posts here I have gotten the idea that some members might be interested in a class on metallic cartridge reloading. I might be wrong.

Would there be enough interest in an evening class on primarily pistol caliber reloading, taught by an NRA instructor certified in reloading, sponsored by Eastside Gun Shop and free?
This would be one evening in the work week and possibly held over at East Precinct meeting room near my shop.

Yeah, I'm interested. I know some about reloading, but have never done it. Even if I never actually do it, I think it would be interesting to try.

Sure.

I know nothing about reloading, so it would be a great introduction for myself.

Yup very interested. I reloaded in the past and am getting some equipment going to start again but I would like some info on the finer points. I am sure I learn something new and that is always nice.

Wow, great response to your offer Rabbi! Nice job.
Lets do this thing!

I can show everyone the specs on a .458 Socom round....I'm sure lots of folks want to know how to reload this common ammunition.

Yes, it's a definite go. I need to consult with Sgt Ogren at East Precinct about using the room and with the instructor, which should be tomorrow. I'll know more tomorrow.

The instructor has forwarded this link to me with encouragement that anyone planning on coming should look at it. It has the largest number of pro-gun links I've ever seen on one site.

I'm not sure where South Ron is, but if it is close to Nashville you're more than welcome to come.
I will try to set it up for this week. I have to call Sgt Ogren to arrange for the room, I can only do that before noon and I have had people in every day this week.

What ever happened to the reloading class??

The Rabbi
05-29-2008, 07:11 PM
I am dam glad you asked.

I had planned to hold it at East Precinct's community room. When I talked to the Sgt over there he told me demand for the room was so high they weren't allowing any non-LE use of it.
I put out a list serve query and today I went to check some space. I think it will work, a big conference room. I am waiting to hear back from the owner as to when we can have it. I had wanted a Thurs night but I think he has some class there or other. When I hear back from him I will post details here. It is on Main St in E.Nashville, a couple of blocks off the highway exit.

Just found this thread.

I had a lesson from someone locally. I'd like another class for another way of looking at things.

I have been reloading for a couple of weeks now so I'm far from knowing everything.

Based on his "SW99 .40S&W" post, and now this... it sounds like my kids, after they've gotten in trouble, IMO.

"Screw you guys, I'm going home!" <packs up toys and leaves>

I guess pouting sounds the same, regardless of age.
