Why do some of the member's names have a "+" sign beside their name. From what I've seen, it's always the same names.....Just wondering if it was an error in part of the coding, or if it actually stood for something.

It represents that they are in your 'friends/contacts' list.

You can click on any member's username and the dropdown will contain an option to add them to your contact list.

Search engine "bot". The major search engines (google, yahoo, lycos, etc etc) all have them. They send them out on the net to retrieve any and all information they can read, and then go back and propagate their search engines with the collected data.
