hello,

i just received the serial number for my yankee hill mite suppressor for my walther p22. next step for me would be having the CLEO sign off my form. In my area of residence, that would be metro police chief serpas.

Due to my work schedule and how busy its been im unable to get off in order to go downtown and get a signature. i also hate driving downtown. so my questions are:

1. Would it be possible for me to send my form 4 through usps to his office along with a self addressed stamped envelope, and have them mail it back to me?

2. Does anyone know the actual mailing address? I found one but was unsure of it bc it has a street name AND P.O. Box.

Sorry Im new at this and would greatly appreciate any help!:koolaid:

Who are you sourcing your Mite through?
My first thoughts are that the SOT you are working with should be helping you with the entire purchase process.

If you arent getting any help at the Dealer/SOT level, your next course of action would be a simple call to Metro.
Explain what you want to do, and request the POC and address.

Good luck!
(If you strike out at the Dealer/Metro level, email me and we can see what we can do to help out)

Have you already been fingerprinted? If not, you can get your fingerprint cards and drop off the form at his office in the same trip to the CJC. When I did mine it probably took 20-30 mins total from walking in to getting fingerprinted and dropping off the forms.

When I did my AOW...I was told I needed an appointment to meet the chief of police (I don't care to EVER meet Serpas personally)
When I called to setup the appt..I was told I DIDN'T need a appointment, that all I could do was drop off the paperwork and "someone would call me when it was ready"
I think it took about two weeks or so. Then it's off to the ATF. I think I was downtown all of 15 minutes...including finding a place to park. You're not allowed past the front desk. they call someone down from his office to take the paperwork from you.

I don't know if I'd mail it into the police...to much of a chance for it to be misplaced

I got my suppressor from Frank at Elite Tactical Systems. He hasnt responded to my email yet. Probably busy. When I first bought it, he said i needed to go downtown and get it signed. He also did my fingerprints on the spot.

Well it looks like i just might have to find a way to get a day off or an extended lunch break and go downtown. Id rather not take the chance of losing my paperwork.

Thanks for all the responses and help guys!:koolaid:
