Recovering...

Spending my summer recovering from a torn ACL in my right knee and a broken fibula near my left ankle which now has a plate and 8 screws in it...
6 to 8 months of recovery before I'm back 100% is what they are telling me,,
Looking forward to getting back to the monthly shooting at OHGC and IDPA at Brush Creek but that won't be for a few more months when I can get off these crutches..

I've laughed about this since I did it so this will be good for a laugh.....
Oddly enough I was holding up a canoe in my backyard and standing sideways like a dummy...(note to self..always face it)
I bumped the backside of my knee pretty hard which proceeded to pop my knee completely out of socket taking out my ACL and on the way down my other foot slammed the ground breaking it.
I didn't have any pain when it happened besides that ragging I get from everyone about the canoe that kicked my butt..
One of those freak accidents I can laugh about I guess.
I'll just be glad when I get off the crutches, that's probably the worst part about it right now.
It'll be a while though because I have to get my foot healed and be walking on it before they can do the ACL surgery and I still have 5 weeks in the cast...glad I got a sense of humor...
