I loath code...

Posted 09-12-2008 at 11:19 AM by creeky

This will be a bit of a rant... but hang in there it may get funny. Or pathetic... to early to tell.

I do a little hobby webcomic. It's been on hiatus while I was taking care of some other business. So I'm getting back to it.

Well.... I had a little bit of flaky code that had been bugging me so decided to fix it. Nothing major. I'm pretty anal about keeping backups and stuff like that... (can you see where this is going?)

Yup... you guessed it. Screwed it up....

AR-SBRs... Creeky's Odyssey?

Posted 08-26-2008 at 10:19 AM by creeky
Updated 08-26-2008 at 02:39 PM by creeky

While I have learnt a great deal about AR-15s in SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) configurations, and made my fevered desire to own one known to all on the TGO Boards... one question still eludes me... Why? Why is it that I desire a 10.5" AR-15 so much?

Herogear may have eluded to the reason in his post where he is offering an excellent deal on SBR kits. he mentions in his post...

"...to be shooting short like the cool kids..."

I think that could be...

MP5 - First impressions...

Posted 07-28-2008 at 09:44 AM by creeky

I'll admit I am a little biased when it comes to Heckler & Koch products so take this with a grain of salt.

This past Saturday morning while at Guns & Leather I was given the opportunity... no wait... distinct pleasure to fire a full auto MP5. It was in my favorite configuration... full stock, and surefire flashlight grip.

When handling the weapon the first thing I noticed was the balance. It just "felt" right. The only problem I noticed (for me that is)...

Starting a Congregation Shooting Event!

Posted 06-20-2008 at 01:58 PM by creeky

Since there was some interest I thought I would spell this out a little better.

Our Congregation has had some shooting events that have been very popular. So here is how we do it... not the way everyone should do it... but just the way we do it.

So what started all this?
Originally me and some other men were looking for ways to get the other men in the congregation to get to know each other better, and also become more involved in Church. So Asked the men to fill...

The over looked inherent dangers of the .357 sig cartridge.

Posted 06-04-2008 at 04:46 PM by creeky

There are many myths that surround the .357 sig cartridge today. Stories of it's magical like powers, near mythical status and yes... even it's *ability to produce "one shot" stops by merely physically throwing the round at the assailant with no gun even needed.

I would like to address one well known fact, that is well documented... but sadly not mentioned enough... Chicks dig guys that shoot the .357 sig. Many men that are looking to move to this round fail to really consider...
