Well OK, I will start a blog..... why not!
I've never had a blog but I do have a myspace. Maybe this will be fun.
I guess I could talk about my Dobermans and my guns since that is my logon name.
I have two black/rust female Doberman Pinschers. One is 3 years old and her name is Da'Kari pronounced Da-Car-ee, not Daiquiri like the drink. She is cropped and docked. The other is Eden who is just coming a year old and is also cropped and docked. Da'Kari is my first Doberman and now I just can't imagine my life without one. They are very people oriented, have a strong need and desire to be with their person. I can't imagine putting them outside to live. They are very clingy which caused them to be nicknamed "velcro dogs".
I had a red/rust boy named Nash and I lost him at 13 months. He was very bad about eating things he shouldn't and he managed to get ahold of a pair of socks and ate them. It caused complications and we lost him. It broke my heart, he was a sweet natured fellow. Here is a video about him....

Next came Eden, she was a gift from a very special friend. She is a beauty and such a sweetheart but very protective of her mama!
As I have grown older and "wiser" I have found in order to feel safe in this ever increasing state of our nation that I must be responsible for my own safety. I have been going to the gym and getting myself in shape and I also decided to get my HCP. Hand guns were new to me but I had a little experience with rifles and actually have a Remington Nylon 66 .22 rifle. The first handgun I shot was a Ruger P89 .9mm and I really liked it, though I was limp wristing with it LOL.
So OK, everyone said I should get a revolver for my first hand gun sooooo my first handgun purchase was a S&W 640 .357/.38 special. though my heart was with the semi automatic .9mm, what can I say.... the 640 was OK but not cheap to target practise with so I bought a Beretta U-22 Neos that I enjoyed shooting but it was still not a .9mm, fast forward to still not being satisfied I ended up getting a Kel-tec P3AT .380 and I really like it a lot but guess what? Yep, still not that .9mm I was dreaming about.....HA.... well I was in Fugates Firearms one day and she had a used Glock 26 .9MM!!!! and also had a nice used Ruger Super Redhawk .44 that my husband had been looking for so we got them both and went home happy little campers.
I really like my Glock 26 and have not been disappointed with the way it shoots, my aim with it and I have never limp wristed with it.
My husband took his HCP class and needed a carry gun so I saw a Charles Daly 1911 that I liked a lot and knew he would like so I did some trading around with my S&W 640 and Beretta Neos and came away with the new Charles Daly and some cash. Now I was down to 2 handguns and decided that wasn't gonna do
so I ordered myself a CZ 75D PCR and YES of course it is a .9MM!!! Ha and I love it!
That is how I started and am holding with my interest in handguns, protecting myself and enjoying a hobby with my husband. He is very happy that I love this new interest. Little does he know that he will soon be the proud owner of my little Kel-tec P3AT because I already have my eyes on the Ruger LCP!!!!!
