I don't have a C&R license, but I found the site below with information on the license and what paperwork you have to do. Hopefully someone will be along soon who has the license and can answer your questions.

You can buy a Bound Book for just a few dollars, or a regular notebook will do. Nothing fancy is needed.

For the price of a bound book (not much) I would go that route. It will make your life a lot simpler and neater.

I use that same page from the surplusrifle.com site. I just put those pages in a ringed note book and it has some slots in the back that I can put copies of my license for when I go to gun shows etc. I just place this notebook in a small back pack and off to the shows. By the way that is a very good site. Lots of good information on the C&R military weapons.

I use that same page also, but I bind clear sheet pocket/page protectors with a nylon binder (like the high school reports) This allows me to have a bound book and still be able to remove the pages at will.

They say bound book, but they don't say that you can not remove the pages.
