I was drooling over the gun at the store....The photos just don't tell the story....
I had a Russian about 12 years ago or so. I've regretted selling it ever since... 70below has excellent taste in weaponry. But don't tell him I said that cause it will go to his head... And none of us need that!

One of the distinct differences is the milled vs. stamped trigger assembly. Many of the Chinese SKS have stamped trigger groups which don't look near as good as the milled ones on the Russian models. As I understand it, the Yugo models don't have a chrome bore, so that theoretically could be a disadvantage, but probably never would be. They are all great rifles and people have very little trouble with any of them.
I don't think the Russian is a "better" version necessarily, but more collectible perhaps showing a bit more character in general. |

The Yugo's have no chrome in the barrel BUT it's a much heavier barrel. It's "supposed" to be better for a higher round count but I'm not 100% certain on that...
