I'm new an don't know how and probably being new can't start a poll. ( maybe some else can ) Just wondering there seems to be a lot of glock owners here , which model is the most owned? They claim to have 65% of the US police market, and 80% world wide, not my numbers . Just wondering , what brand of "tupperware" is the most owned by those on this forum?

I love the gun, but never really liked the "blue" finish. I sent the gun to PA for a finish called "Metallife." (Google "Mahovsky's Metalife" to learn about the finish if you are interested.) My pistol came back home to TN and I thought you might want a look!

Well with all the Sig threads I thought I'd go ahead and post my work in progress, this is my P228 9mm, it's a Swiss police trade in I bought from TG a few months ago, this was the GOOD quality rating, it has been 100% reliable and I used it at the CIS Defensive pistol class and put close to 1K rounds through it, I shoot it better than any other gun I own but it was really dog ugly from the holster ware, it is a 20 year old gun with the date code KA. It has the Swiss police emblem etched into the side of the slide just behind the Sig Sauer name.
So here are some pictures of before and after I started polishing the slide and the controls, TGO david was kind enough to install some XS Big Dits on it last weekend that I bought from Todd with CIS, thanks again both of you.
Heres the before pics!!!!

And here's the after pictures!!!

As I stated this is still a work in progress, this weekend I will perform a (fluff & buff) to the trigger action and I'm waiting for a spring kit to replace all the springs and some new grips. I know some Sig traditionalists will balk at a 2 tone or a polished Sig but I like it and that's all that really matters. LOL!!! COOP

Here are pictures of the test target that I had them sight the pistol in with Remington Golden Saber 230 Grain

i've been looking at some 1911's lately trying to decide what would be a good choice for my first 1911. i have shot a springfield and liked it, so thats what i'm leaning toward right now. my main question was the comparison between value and performance of the Rock Island and the Taurus 1911's. price wise there is not much difference so performance would be the main factor. anybody with experience with both of these your input would be appreciated. thanks in advance

Looking for opinions on quality, accuracy, reliability, turnaround, worth the price, etc...

Thinking of having a beautiful frankenstein commander bobtail with a rail in 9mm put together for me after the holidays, looking for this weird recipe has led me to them (think they might be the only people who make such a thing)...
If anyone knows of anyone else who does something like this please let me know as well.

Here's kinda what I'm going for, except I'm thinking diamond-black ion bond and different grips:
I have the following choices narrowed down for an EDC that is easily concealed (I don't open carry because of people freaking out).

My choices are a:
Walther PPS 9MM NIB - 3 mags - $650 out the door
Does anyone on the board have experience with any of these?
