Here is my boneheaded question of the day: If a sight says it has a Weaver mount will it be compatible with a Picatinny rail?
I was looking at this Trijicon, Inc. : Brilliant Aiming Solutions . |

Thanks for the quick answer.
The last paragraph said: "...it means that accessories designed for a Weaver system will, in most cases, fit on a “Picatinny” system." Most cases but looking at the Trijicon web page it says the sight can come with the Weaver mount. If it does not specifically say Picatinny does that mean it is not compatible? |

I always imagined the rings designed for weaver bases would fit a picatinny rail... the picatinny just has more slots you can 'pic' from, whereas the weaver does not have many options.

I have a Leupold Mk 4 that fits a picatinny like it was made for it. |

Your best bet to know for sure may be to email or call Trijicon and get the specifics on the particular sight/mount you are looking at. Which product are you looking at?

I got an answer from them here is what they told me...
Thank you for your interest in Trijicon products. I do apologize as I am still replying to inquiries from last Saturday 10/31. You will want to consider RX14 or RX23 equipped Reflex sights for your application. Please contact us if you need further assistance. |
