    Former State Senator John Ford

Found guilty of bribery not guilty of intimidating a witness, hung on extortion.

Anyone know what the penalty in this state is for bribery?

The bribery conviction carries a maximum sentence of 10 years and a $250,000 fine, but he will probably draw a lighter punishment because he is a first-time offender.
Sentencing was set for July 31.

Convicted Felon John Ford has been taking advantage of the people of Tennessee and prostituting the system for over three decades and only faces a maximum sentence of ten years. There seems to be no justice in that.

Don't forget the Federal charges he is facing in Nashville on May 22. I would imagine, if I were Ford. I would be cutting a deal with the prosecutor in that case to reduce some jail time. Then again, I don't have his ego.

Don't forget, since he "retired" before the conviction he gets to keep his state pension. So, if he ever does any time in jail, he'll still be collecting money from us tax payers

because a State pension report shows Ford will draw more than $2,500 a month for the rest of his life, meaning Ford will make more off taxpayers out of office than he did in office, even if convicted of the charges he faces.

This town needs an enema as The Joker once said. The whole family. Ophelia misses more time in Nashville than she is there because she misses her plane.

Yup, you heard it, she takes a commercial flight from Memphis to Nashville.

Let's see, get to the airport 45 minutes before your flight, fly for 30 minutes, wait for your bags for 15 minutes, rental car for about 15 minutes. Basically she saves about 1 hour and 15 minutes by flying than by driving. Big deal.

The whole family should be removed from public office. And pensions should be forfieted once you commit a felony WHILE IN OFFICE!!!!
