Grampas in Clarksville, TN

Has anybody noticed the sign at Grampas in Clarksville banning HCP?

Yup they sell beer there and use that as their reason for not allowing CCL. I don't buy from them waaaayy overpriced.

What exactly do you mean by the "use" that as a reason?

I'm not sure what Grampas is, but if the only sell package beer it is not against the law, if they sell it for onsite consumption it is not against the law as long as they are a restaurant per 39-17-1305.

Unless you meant that they just simply state that as a reason they have posted a 39-17-1359 sign.

They are an outdoor/general store type deal. They sell hunting, fishing items and are a True Value Hardware store.
I do find them to be expensive on firearms, you can go down the street to Tennessee Gun Country and get a better deal on any firearm Grandpa's carries plus ammo.

I have not been in since I noticed the sign but as dragonman stated that is there excuse. Due to selling beer they do not allow you to carry in there store.

I have talked to the employee's there, they said it is for people with out CP,
They are building a large hunting & fishing area in the back of the store, Hopefully they will lower prices

It needs to clarified by them. The way it reads if I'm remembering right you could end up in bad situation in there even if its not there original internt

There is no real need to post a sign for those that don't have HCP, it would be illegal for them to carry anyway.
