Monthly TGO Shooting Contest!!!!

Ok all you handgun lovers....here is your moment to shine!

We are going to have a friendly and HONEST

competition each month.

Beginning with the first of November, a target will be chosen that everyone can print off and take to their local range (or backyard or wherever you shoot). A different distance will be chosen each month as well. Winner gets......bragging rights

There are only a few rules...

1. Be safe!

2. You must shoot the standard target for that month.

3. Your submitted target must have 10 shots only on it. Best ten shot group wins. If you take 20 targets to the range that day and choose the best target of the 20, fine by me. Only one can be submitted per customer per month, though

4. Unless otherwise stated, we will not be shooting from a rest.

5. Have fun and get your friends involved!

6. To submit your entry, take a photo of your target (and because we love guns, have your gun in the picture, too so we can drool over your glocks, 1911's, CZ's, revolvers, etc.). Submit the photo in the thread for the month. If you have questions about uploading photos, feel free to ask. A number of people can help.

7. Past winners will be immortalized in a "hall of fame" list in each monthly thread for all to marvel at.

8. Entry's due the last day of the month, by 11:59PM and 59 seconds.

Winners will be announced within a day or two.

9. There will be two divisions....centerfire pistols and rimfire pistols. You can shoot in either of those categories or both. It makes no difference to me. Just submit a different target for each if you want to do both.

Everyone, please feel free to send me target ideas via PM or in this thread. Also, if you have anything you'd like to add, feel free to comment. Let's try to get as many people involved as we can. If you don't want to go shoot alone, someone on hear I'm sure would love to go with you. I've said enough, let's here what you have to say!

This is the target we use on the XDTalk Forums, allows for easy scoring x/100.
Score it by counting the largest number which the hole breaks. I.E. if the line between 8 and 9 is broken by the shot then award 9 points.

Awesome suggestion. That way we can score by points rather than just measuring. I like! Keep the ideas coming!

Maybe we could get some members to donate a "pay it forward" type donation each month to the weiner.
The best one will win all PIF's in the pot.

I'm sure I have a couple of things I could give out.
Maybe a 5.11 belt.

Anyone else think thats a swell idea?

That's a swell idea. I'm sure all of us have something in the safe that gets in the way now and then. Not saying everyone has to pitch in to play, but if you feel like doing so, it's a great plan.
