So he calls Taurus and they told him he was going to have to pay to send it back to them. So he told them that wasnt right and the guy told him thats the way it is. Well my sister called this morning and raised more hell than pack of pit bulls. And they are going to send a fedex truck after it tomorrow. She tried to get them to reimburse him for the first time but they said they couldn't do anything. They did say they will put it on a priorty to be fixed so he can get it back soon.WTF is wrong with these people.

Just what kind of bullare they trying to pull. They wanted him to have $100 in shipping in a brand new gun that he has shot just a few times. I will never own and I will tell every one I know not to buy a POS taurus.

My rant is done now.
This is going to give Dustin flashbacks...

thats bull... ehh, i never did like taurus much. i'd send it back to the store you bought it or sell it and buy another gun. not worth going through again if something else breaks. thanks for the heads up on the bad customer service.

I have heard a lot of stories about the timing being off on their revolvers. It's unfortunate that they won't (or can't) make things right.

Are their pistols any better?

I dont want you to buy one, But if you do, don't buy it online. At least you can yell at a local dealer and make his life difficult until they get it right.

So, this is definately a Taurus bash party. Now I will be ordering a NIB PT99 AFS tomorrow. I have read alot of good reviews on this gun and I feel confident. Seems the taurus revolver may be another story? Any good or bad reviews from you guys on the 99?

Guess I was lucky to get a good Taurus revolver. My .38sp snubbie is still going strong.

this is not the only horror story about Taurus and their warranty that I have read.
I really can't see myself ever buying one simply for that reason. Too many bad experiences related on the internet.

it seems most taurus guns can be hit or miss quality-wise...
however, the beretta clones (which they've been making the longest, and what put 'em on the map) have been solid according to most of the reviews out there, mine were... but seems a lot of their other models are suspect.
that said, and luckily, i've never had to deal with their customer service to find out if it sucks or not...
