...but anyway... The Cougar in 9mm is also a nice choice for CCW. The one my boy had a few years ago was 100x better than the Berretta PX4 he traded it for. (too stubby and had a hell of a muzzle flip.)

Makes me wonder if folks actually read these things to see what people are looking for,or if they just wanna throw out there what they like. Don't know about the rest of the people here, but I've never seen a Glock with a DA\SA hammered,or a Sig with ambi controls ![]() That said,I'd look at a Ruger P95 if price is a deciding factor. HK's are great guns from what I hear, but I cant afford one to base an opinion off of though

Para Ordnance double stack 1911s fit most of the criteria especially the "big hands" part. There are different DA or SA models from "GI" type to target level "Limited" versions with the sweet triggers and they all are reliable. Worth checking out.

S&W P99 in 40S&W. Best handgun I have ever held. Fits all of your criteria. Here is a source for used. No association with this company.

Kelemvor, I have had both the ruger p95 and a bersa 380. I liked both gun very well. Only reason I got rid of the bersa was to get a bersa 9mm. (the 380 was not ambidextrous) I looked at a 9mm bersa sat. that was and really like it. I'm left handed and like the way it's laid out. I was told that the mag release can be turned around too.
