Looking to interview two people for a duck hunting lease in west TN.

I am looking to interview people for two slots for a lease that I am in on. This is for a 70acre flooded field that will have about 1/2 acre of standing corn and they are going to leave the stubble on the rest that has corn. This field is located between Horns Bluff and Frog Jump Refuges. They did split the field up some with beans but where most of the water is held there will be corn. There is a floating blind that can shoot 8 but I only hunt 4 people and I am very picky about who hunts with me this is why I am looking to replace two that have shown their true colors.

I can not tell you how strict I am on hunting, I do not sky bust, I do not hunt every day of the week I limit the hunting to 3 days a week, I love to get in on a good shoot every now and then but if you want to kill them you gotta let them get there first. Plane and simply if I do agree to lease you a spot with me and you screw up you will be kicked out with out a refund, if you are found to be trespassing after being kicked out you will be prosecuted for trespassing. I also will not tolerate any alcohol consumption or drug abuse. To me duck hunting is not about the killing but being around a good group of friends and watching God's work.

We do have a good time and cook every day, my one friend who I have hunted with for several years has a good dog with a very laid back attitude and he does not run round in the blind. I personally have about 15dozen duck/goose decoys, 5 mojo's, a vortex, and a mallard machine. My buddy has about 8 dozen duck/goose decoys, a mallard machine, one mojo, and a few other gadgets.

This spot will kill ducks but last year we did not do all that great since we did not catch any water until Christmas. There is a guarantee for water in the lease agreement that will be paid back on a per day basis.

I have tried to cover everything that I can think of on this and I really did not want to just put this out there to someone who I do not know but I am willing to give anyone a chance as long as they can pass the interview and my buddy agrees to you.

Right now unless something changes it is looking like the cost per person is going to be 600 unless something happens and the yield is way less then the average they are getting now on corn.

You can either send me a PM on here or email me mike_laster @ Bellsouth . net and we can talk about this. I would rather have a father and son, either way you must be responsible and safe above all else. I am in a long term lease with this farmer so I do enforce the rules to a T. I am not trying to make money off of this but make it even for everyone.

Maybe duck hunters should interview him. Maybe the mod's will remove his NAZIS interview!

Personally I wouldn't apply, because my work schedule as a firefighter might not jive with your days off. But, if you would like some "trophy deer hunting", please send me a resume. Have a good one!

You can call me a nazi all you want but I do not get ran off of leases and I am not educating birds by taking crack shots that you can not make.

If this post was "out of line " I figure the mods would have deleted it by now.

I just figure I would give someone who actually cared about what hunting is about a chance at a pretty decent spot for fair price but I guess that was my mistake in even posting it up on this place since it seams it is full of "outlaws".

I've never been hunting, so please excuse my ignorance. But how much hunting does $600 get a person?

The lease cots me 2400 , the season is 60 days long out the 60 days I only hunt weekends+1 so that's three days a week, well that winds up being 20 days, so it costs 30 dollars a day where if you go on a guide hunt it winds up costing 150+ a person for a half day hunt. But then again if you were to hunt with me you would have to put up with someone who actually has rules and abides by the federal laws and regulations as well.

That doesn't sound too bad. I have wasted $30/day on a lot less.

I thought about getting involved with hunting, but all the existing hunters who can't find a decent place to hunt has kept me away. If they can't find a decent place, I probably would have less luck.

I'm sure you'll fill the spots. Happy hunting.

Yeah it is not too bad on anyone wanting to get in since I have spent all of the money on decoys already.

The only reason people can not find a place to hunt is because people do not give a crap anymore about other peoples land. This is why I am strict on who gets into a club with me and it does not take long to weed through the list in a hurry. I work hard to enjoy God's work and I actually care more about the future then how man ducks you can kill. It is amazing at how many people just can not think or just do not care..
