Whats a fair price?
I've been wanting another AR to replace the one I got rid of,but don't have the cash to buy one,so Im going to sell or trade my Springfield M1A,so I can get one..Question is,what should I ask for my springfield? I have a guy interested, just not sure what to ask for it. Its a standard, only had 200 rnds or less through it,still like new condition, has the wood stock, and has 1 20 rnd mag and factory 10rnd mag,and all paperwork and box that it came with new..What should I ask for it? I was thinking around $1500??? Im not sure,I hate to overly price something and offend a person, and then again,i don't want to be raped..LOL

I think $15 is a bit high, IMHO. $1000-1300, used. Not sure what NIB at the store is but, I know my price and it's less than $15.

I'd have to agree $1500 is a little high for used. But your best bet is to search gunbroker or auction arms and see what they are selling for used.

I'd say $12-1300. You MIGHT be able to get more for it, but I think at the previously mentioned price both you and the seller could leave the deal feeling satisfied.

Knowing how hard it has been to get M1A's you might be able to pull 1500 (almost the exact price of a new one) the prices suggested earlier would be better in an ideal world.

Hell if hes willin to pay $1500 let him pay it. You might as well start high...you could offer it for a dollar and he would probably offer 50 cents....its human nature to haggle.
