Political Issues
Politics and 2nd Amendment Rights go hand in hand. This has become increasingly more obvious during the lead-up to the 2008 Presidential Election as candidates from every side of the issue have voiced their opinions on gun control.
The
Political Issues forum is not just a place to talk about the 2nd Amendment, however. We have a forum dedicated to that
elsewhere. Rather this forum is the place for discussion and friendly debate about political matters in general. The scope is wide open and can range the complete spectrum of Local, State, National and International politics.
Threads may be moved into and out of this forum as the moderators see fit based on their content. Threads may also be closed, either temporarily or permanently, by the moderators based on the tone of the conversation being had. It is important to us that our members always remember to attack the
issues rather than attack
each other. Once that line is crossed, a thread immediately becomes in jeopardy of being closed or moderated.
At this time I would like to remind everyone of one of
TGO's cornerstone rules as outlined in our
Code of Conduct:
Quote:
Maintain a good fellowship with others. Members should treat each other as they would like to be treated themselves. Name calling, flame posts, racial slurs, and other insulting remarks meant to cause conflict will not be tolerated. You should always try to maintain good fellowship with the other members of this community and be respectful to your fellow shooting enthusiasts whether they are new shooters or seasoned veterans.
Debate is welcome and encouraged, but you must always stick to attacking the issues rather than the person or profession. Personal attacks, and name calling, serve no purpose in the exchange and debate of good information. Keep in mind that in life there is no guarantee that others will agree with your thoughts or comments. You absolutely must try to handle disagreements, criticisms or opposing viewpoints with tact and maturity.

Everyone is welcome on
TGO regardless of political party affiliation or personal beliefs, so long as they play by the rules. Trolling or otherwise posting inflammatory content meant to insult, cause division or turmoil will not be tolerated. Persons who do this will be removed from the forum.
Thank you for your cooperation.
