More Hate Crime Nonsense. If I were to start a bar fight with a Homosexual not even knowing he was gay they could acuse me of a Hate crime and I am subject to a more serious punishment. I already know I shouldnt be starting bar fights so dont point that out to me, the point is that noone should have legislation passed on their behalf that increases the penalties of crimes against them.

A closer look at it reveals that it federalizes many crimes, allows the Fed to re-prosecute cases ( so much for double jeopardy ) and pursue cases when the state felt there wasn't enough evidence to procede with prosecution.
Bad juju, in a dozen different ways.

All human life should be worth the same. Black, White, Indian, Gay or Straight. We already have laws and punishments for violence and murder. Why are they not good enough? I don't understand how these hate crime laws further the progress of anything or anyone. They further divide our Nation's people. Does anyone behind this legislation think that all of a sudden there will be a mass acceptance and understanding of gay people, due to these laws?
I think we should get rid of all of the hate crime laws on the books now, or else charge all violent crimes as hate crimes. Let's make everyone equal, you know, like they are supposed to be!

You know what's coming in ten or twenty years, don't you? A month will be set aside in recognition of Gay Rights. We can start the polling (No pun intended) on which month it should be, right now. I think if we are the ones that push for this audacious event, we'll get some converts to 2A. Besides the Pink Pistol Party. They've already got our backs (No pun intended). Hmmmmm, now what month will it be?
