    Steve McNair has been shot.

    I just received a phone call from a friend whose family owns a large restaurant in Nashville, and who is close friends with Steve McNair and his family. She had been called by someone in the family who reported he has been shot and is being taken via ambulance to the hospital right now. Literally, that is all I know at this point. I'm sure details will emerge soon. By the way, this is a trusted friend, and I 100% believe she is reporting this as factually as she has been told. We shall see.

    ETA: he was found shot to death. Not yet reported where.

    Channel 5 Nashville reporting that he was found shot to death.

    Just heard the news. Really sad to hear it... he's the kind of class act that is quite the rarity in the NFL these days.

    He was found shot in the head in an apparent double-homicice along with a female victim in a 2nd Ave. apartment complex. Police at this time are not releasing the female victims name because of the circumstances. (Female was not his wife.) It was initially ruled as a murder-suicide but police have since changed thier findings. News Channel 5 has promised continuing focus so I will try to stay updated.
