  1. Dicks has a 24 gun safe for 399 on Black Friday sale
  2. My neighbor is getting rid of this gun and wants to sell it to me for what I believe is a good or decent price. Im not going to tell you what the offer is until after I get your unbiased opinions on what it may be worth. The finish is in bad shape and it appears to have been refinished once already. The serial number starts with 236 but there isnt a Govt stamp anywhere on it. Help Please! Dan Wesson

This is the strangest thread for some reason.
  6. I got the gun back today, pretty fast actually! That was a pleasant suprise. The note in the box states, "Corrections made: Re-cut feed ramp, tuned trigger, and test fired for function." I hope this does the trick. Once I finally get it out for a test fire I will keep you all updated. Again, thanks you all! Its problem solving like this that keeps me coming back to this site.
  7. Thanks again, I sent the gun off yesterday ($90 to ship it ouch!). When I had to ship my snubbie back to smith and wesson they pre-paid for me to do so. I talked to the smith on the phone and he said the mags that they used back then have since been replaced and that may be part of the problem and part of the problem may be the Georgia Arms ammo. To be continued.
  8. TDR, you are the man! Thank you. my fax number is 423-209-3619 it goes directly into my email so no cover sheet is needed. Or my email address is deldridge@unum.com Or I can PM you my address if needed. Thanks again to all.
  9. Thank you all for your input and concern over this gun, this is the reason I come back to this forum. Had I thought Rugerman tried to pull the wool over my eyes I would of contacted him. It sounds like there are several thiings that I can try including trying different ammo and repositioning the screw. However, im not nearly as savvy around a firearm as you guys on the forum, I dont want to damage the gun by overtightening the screw, and the last time I shot it it was unsafe to shoot. I did have a friend shoot it last time as well and the same problems occured with him so im pretty sure its not my style (limp wristing) etc. I want to keep the gun at this point but want to know that its going to perform like a high dollar gun should perform. TDR, any chance on getting the receipt or some paperwork that I can send it back to CZ? Whatever the problem is it is my belief, correct me if im wrong, that this should be their problem and not ours. If its the trigger/screw they need to fix the problem, I have a problem with putting loctite on this gun, but if thats what THEY want to do im happy with it. Thanks again. And sorry to have abandoned this thread, I was away this weekend.
  10. No, but I have other ammo. I need to do that!
  11. I dont have the receipt as I purchased it from an individual. Thats probably why I got the pushback from them when I called the first time/
  12. I traded "up" on the Dan Wesson CBOB 10mm with a guy on this forum. Since getting the gun I have shot probably only 100 rounds through it and as he stated it was still very new and in its break in period. However, this gun is simply unsafe to shoot in my opinion in its current state. He warned me that the trigger screw could losen a bit and cause the gun to act up but im finding that it is more often than not. The gun will jam almost every other shot, no exaggeration. A lot of times the slide will not rack back the hammer and after a shot I will have to thumb the hammer back for the next shot. And one time the gun fired 2 rounds with one pull of the trigger. I called DW and explained this to them but they wanted waaaay too much money to deal with the gun. (worst customer service company ive come accross.) If it is the trigger screw can I have it fixed in so it doesnt move? All that being said I am very green around fixing a gun and do not know what im looking at. Any suggestions on what is going on? I think the ammo is GA arms ill look when I get home so I dont think that is the issue, but I havent tried a different brand. Im in the Chattanooga area and I guess am in the market for a good Smith, any suggestions on that as well are welcome. This gun is too nice (and expensive) for me not to be able to shoot.

    Digital SLRs

Me and another member on here both have Canon Rebel XS that came with the kit lens. We both enjoy them. But man they (lenses and upgrades) are as addictive as guns.
