  1. I also received mine on Wednesday . Awesome!! First out the front knives I've ever had! And me, being the smart individual that I am, purchased two, so that I can carry one, and store the other in the safe. I know what you mean, bubbadavis. When I was about 9 (maybe 1970 or so?) I received a Boy Scout Hunter's Knife with manly leather sheath. After taking it out and admiring it on Christmas morning, I returned it to the heavy (manly) leather sheath, and promptly drove it through the leather into my thumb. My mom was not amused. Dad sort of chuckled, then acted like the house was burning down (because my mom wasn't amused). Yeah, there was a lot of blood. I (obviously) survived, and have been fascinated (but respectful) of knives ever since. This is a beautiful knife. Thank you, Willis!!
  2. A person would need to offer me much more than $300 in order to part with my 3913. It is by far one of my most favorite handguns. But I would agree that a current Taurus PT111 2nd gen 9mm would fit the bill. I picked up one of these about a year ago. I'll admit I was impressed with this pistol, considering that I purchased it new for around $220.
  3.     I took care of four of those last weekend. Funny thing is, my 19 year old son was home from college, and he called me downstairs for one of them. :hiding:     Oh, he's 6' 5" and makes fun of me because I'm "only"  6' 2"..............Really???? :shake: :shake:
  4.  SigBrown's Gun Refinishing    SigBrown's Firearm Refinishing    And for a slogan: "We can make that truck gun new again!"
  5.  Read this last night. What great news when I checked again this morning!! I'm glad things worked out!!
  6.  At first glance, it appears to be a real 10 dollar bill to me. Now, granted, I've owned/managed a retail business for 30 years, and have worked a few thousand daily deposits, and it appears to be the older version of the ten dollar bill.   A few years ago, one of my nephews, who was working for us at the time (and was under 25 years old), told one of our other employees that she had taken a counterfeit $50 bill. The lady was terribly upset, and came up with the bill & apologized to me. The problem was, my idiot nephew had never seen the older version of a $50 bill, so he "knew" it was counterfeit. As usual, he was wrong. He was just too young to have ever seen what $50 bills used to look like....  Good luck, have it checked out & let us know.
  7.  But, why the rail?? I just don't understand having an "accessory" rail for a pistol marketed as a "concealed carry" pistol. Maybe for a "nightstand" pistol (such as the XD9 I have with a light attached), but that's about it.
  8.    Oh, yes, they are known as being "a bit" on the high side....But they do have an extensive inventory! :dunno:
  9.    We also use the Value Vet in Bellevue. I just took our dog in on Tuesday (4/22) for her yearly check-up with shots, etc. I feel they do a great job. They are very good about explaining what they are doing, and what the costs will be for various shots, tests, etc. I feel the are much more reasonable than a nearby Vet we previously used (with a previous dog that passed away from old age a few years ago). A friend of ours recommended Value Vet to us when we got this dog as a puppy 1 1/2 years ago.
  10.  Well, I like the hire for Auburn. I've never been a UT fan (my dad graduated from Vanderbilt, so that's who I grew up rooting for), but I was impressed with Bruce Pearl as the coach at UT. I loved the fact that he actually cared enough to research the history of UT//Vanderbilt basketball, and brought back the "Ray Mears" orange blazer, among other things.    Have I mentioned yet that I graduated from Auburn? I look forward to hopefully seeing some basketball success from the loveliest village on the Plains. I went to Auburn during the Chuck Person//Charles Barkley era, and it's been many years since they have had a relevant men's basketball program.
  11.  Well, I'm definitely for this idea, if it will benefit the children!!!
  12. M2 Browning.    Glad it wasn't a Lorcin!!! :D
  13.  Eaten by Miley Cyrus in a haunted house.     Things could be much, much worse. :yum:
  14.      I am in a committed relationship with another make (OK, some people just think I need to be committed), and I've never owned a Glock. But, I keep thinking I should get a 19, just because......
