  1. I had P-100 for 3 years. It is accurate, but I have consistently better results with CZ 75. Never had any problems with factory ammo ( Winchester FMJ). The pistol did not like my lead reloads. Had FTF for every second mag. I could not order replacement barrel and the trigger guard. So I got rid of it. On positive side. I deeply respect Jaroslav Kuracina. He is one of few designers who did not copy Colt-Browning schematic but made something better
  2. Hello All, Has anybody Visionking scope https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-Visionking-1-25-5x26-hunting-rifle-scope-perfect-for-223-AR15-M16-Three-Pin/500433327.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.1.Tdb9Q8&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_2,searchweb201603_1&btsid=d8faaa2a-3cc3-41b7-bd99-816b42f93346 What do you think about quality and reliability?
  3. Glock 18 used to be a standard military pistol in Austrian army for a short time. It is selective fire pistol. It has excessive fire rate and no shoulder stock. So it is inefficient in full auto mode. Now Austrian army issues Glock 17 for regular and mountain troops. I do not know if Glock still produces model 18.
  4. The closest thing to it I shot was Sar K2 in 45ACP. It felt like perpetrator drill in my hand. I could not reach the slide release with my thumb. Surprisingly, the groups were not bad
  5. I traded my Tanfoglio 45 for 9mm FN. I regret it. Never got the same results on the range
  6. I have Tanfoglio .45. I shoot a lot of lead reloads. The only complain. Aggressive cleaning solvent dissolved the bluing on the barrel. Otherwise great pistol.

    CZ-75 type pistols

I have both 9mm CZ 75B and Tanfoglio Witness .40 SW I use cast lead bullets in CZ with no problem. Tanfoglio often jams on lead ammo. Other than cartridge sensitivity, Tanfoglio is as good as CZ. In my hands the accuracy is the same
  8. R51 built based on Pedersen design. In theory Pedersen's schematic is better than Browning's schematic: Fixed barrel Light slide No guide rod for recoil spring The part that is a subject for wear (locking block) is cheap and easy to replace As much as I know similar gun was submitted for army test and lost to Colt-Browning in 1910. If it would become Government model, the history of the weaponry would be totally different. But...J.M. Browning was a genius. Most of pistols nowadays built around tilting barrel of his design
  9. Expensive uniform and variety of weapons suggest that those guys belong to spetsnaz rather than marines. Navi spetsnaz usually guards really valuable assets like nuclear submarines. I did not expect them patroling streets
  10. I worked in Ukraine for 3 years. I fully understand what happens there. Ukrainian rear admiral Denis Berezovsky did not switch sides. He just confirmed his decision to protect Crimean people. Speaking in general Ukrainians can not elect right leaders. Every single one appears corrupted. Julia Timoshenko abused her power as much as she could. Viktor Yanukovych stole unprecedented money even by Slavic standards. Alex Turchynov  is no any better. His party "Batkivshyna" closely resembles German nazi party as it was in 1933. Vitali Klitscko is the leader of violent gungs. Ukrainian people are tired of corruption. Many of them are ready to fight for better future. They already have the targer: EuroUnion. They already have their fuhrer: Vitali Klitscko. Alex Turchynov called for reservists. It means In a matter of hours gungsters of Klitscko will have modern weapons. There will be some blood. I can speculate that the victims already appointed in eastern areas of Ukraine. I can tell for sure who will win: Germans. Germany needs natural resources of Ukraine and hard working people. Germans will buy it all really cheap after the crisis. Think about it: Vitali Klitscko is German businessman
  11. I need to try Cougar. Let it be Italian, or Turkish. Stoeger precision is quite good. Their finish can not much Italian, but still resists corrosion.
  12. Lt. Colonel Budo made "smart gun" in 1980. It did not have any unreliable electronics neither a battery. It can be only fired if a shooter wears special ring on his finger. The prototype was based on Stechkin pistol. Remarkably, Nikolay Budo himself carried standard Makarov pistol
  13. I have a huge brick house in East Knoxville. It built like a castle. 5 minutes to downtown 10 min to UT campuse. If anybody want to rent it, I'll offer exceptional rate.
  14. Somehow I shoot CZ 75 way more accurate than M 92. I can not justify puchase of Beretta pistol. However I would gladly buy Beretta's stack to support this great company. Is Beretta public? What is the stack index? Anybody knows?
  15. I had loaded 7.62x39 with FMJ .32 bullets. at 12 grains of IMR 3031 it hardly recycle SKS action.  At 16 grains I observed the signes of overpressure. At 14 grains it worked with average 1 stovepipe/40 shoots
