I think it's closed due to a huge rock slide right now anyway. There was video on the news the other night of a "insert adjective here" driver that ran his little Toyota Camry or Nissan Sentra looking 4 door right up on top of some 2 to 3 foot rocks. Caught on film by a news team. Said he was distracted by the camera crew and didn't see the road that was totally covered by rock. Let me see if I can find that gem of a vid.

It is closed because of the rock slide by the Foothills parkway but they did not have to close at the state line. According to the Deals Gap store North Carolina said they would run medical and patrol the road until the rock slide was cleared but Gov. Bredeson said no.

Uh, you're focusing on the wrong part of my post. I still don't care what little car it is.....he's driving it over rocks.....!
Great. More good government. Can someone call a local govt. official for me. I need to be tucked into bed and rocked a little.

I agree TDR but I haven't been able to do it all week. Other obligations keep me from riding the first of the week. Yesterday and today have been perfect for it. Off tomorrow and need to run to Nash so looks like the bike is in order.

Joe: Number 213 E tags??? Ha try Number 1 Masonic Motorcycle tags.

I win, game over. LOL

Looks like I might need to clean up on the bike this weekend.

  • 2 weeks later...

We are less than two weeks out.

I think it would be a good idea that we post our names, and what type of bike we will be riding.

I will give us a good idea of how many riders to expect, and if we need to split the group into two (or more) chalks.
