FNG 'Darn' Yankees from MD

Recommended Posts

Greetings all,

My wife and I just moved here from 'socialist' MD.... We're SO SO Overjoyed to be in Tennessee!!!!

Just started going to the range again since High School. Love shooting well almost anything! ;)

If anyone here can recommend some good public ranges around or about Nashville/ Hendersonville we would totally appreciated it.

Also since we're new to the area and a total a novice of the process of getting our CCW's and anything else that let's us purchase our firearms. (Any gun shop, recommendations?)

Again, so glad to be a part of this forum!!! Blessings! and His Mercies!

Welcome to a 'free state'!!!

What part of Maryland are you from? My whole family is from there, and I am as well. Just spent a week up there (un-armed!!!).

And...my office is in Hendersonville beside Drakes Creek.

Best bet on gun stores and CCW places in your area? Guns & Leather in Greenbrier.

Welcome to TN!!! It is a great state!!! The TN people and their values are wonderful. TN has given me some small degree of hope for our country. I too moved here from the socialist republic of MD, Baltimore.

The Charlie Haffner Memorial Range just south of Franklin is great. Membership is $40 a year, that is it and you can shoot as much as you like. You can google it for pics and directions, etc....

Pinnacle Bank.

My parents grew up in Gaithersburg! And my grandparents settled in Rockville after WWII. Did 35 years at NIH, and then moved to Tennessee. Every summer of my young boyhood was spent at my grandparent's house in Rockville. Awesome memories.

I was born in Silver Spring.

I still have family in D.C., Rockville, and Millersville.

Need a good doctor?;)

Welcome from someone who was born and spent his early years in western MD. But I got lucky and left long before MD became such a progressive state. Shucks, when I was in high school I had the gun with me much of the time. When I went to college I took two fire arms with me. Sad that MD has become what it is politically. Those hills of western MD are almost as pretty as those of TN.

Alot of Marylanders here!

Common thread? Escaping MD! Of course, VA has much better gun laws on the books than TN. We're getting there!

Welcome!

Former Marylander here as well. We lived in Columbia and Ellicott City for about 10 years when I was in high school and college. Most of my relatives still live there.

The big Eastern Shore deer, the waterfowl and the saltwater were nice, but I'll take TN.
