SEE ALL open sight. Anyone seen or tried one yet?

Recommended Posts

Something I have been trying to find again is a link to an lens that actually clears up the near and the far at the same time. I cannot remember the name but it had tons of positive experiences and was geared towards competition long range open sight shooters. I think it mounted to the glasses and acted like a Fresnel lens with two separate focal lengths on the same lens.

Uzis have sights?

I'm well aware of the fact they have sights.  They make railed top covers for them to mount red dots on top, hence my question of this sight.  Seems like it could make a nice red dot substitute.

Wish they had a pic of the sight picture on the website. I'm intrigued by the concept, but I'm too "frugal" (cheap) to shell out 100 bucks on something when I can't even see how it works.

Right there on the front page...

Assuming you're talking about the see-all and not the fresnel thing.

I got one, but have not made it out to the range. From TNGuy's video above, you can see the basic premise. Since the lens magnifies, it stays in focus whether close up on a shotgun or further away on a pistol. Neat concept.
Probably gonna put on my wife's rifle.

I'd be interested in how the optics work. I note that it does obscure the lower half of the target just as regular handgun sights would. I guess it's more about the focus. I understand the principle behind a red-dot scope but that relies on the properties of a laser. Not sure how this works.

What is your initial reaction to it?

It looks to me like it has a 2 inch sight radius. What am I missing?

My assumption is that the effective sight radius is a function of how much the triangle is magnified... Probably more useful on a pistol or a shotgun than a rifle with decent ghost ring night sights already.

Simple concept.  No batteries. Catches light well.

Edited- Not really simple concept, it's a pretty cool concept. I meant to say simple concept of operation.

Lol.  I got what you were trying to say.  It does seem like a really neat concept.

Work as advertised?
