Best inexpensive vet in Nashville?

Recommended Posts

We are looking for a new vet due to the move from Memphis area. They have a company called Petvax there that was VERY reasonable on their pricing. Unfortunately two of my dogs are due for their checkup and shots and we need to get one of them spayed. Needless to say the bill is adding up quick.

If anyone can recommend a GOOD but well priced vet I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

There's a lady named Jill that runs bellemeade animal hospital that's good, lil pricey but i like her better than belleforest animal hosp in bellevue. I take my wild Indians to animal house in Antioch. The vet is good, shes honest, fair priced,AND they do canine dental work. for shots only maybe value vet on nolensville road by I 440?

I actually just ran across Value Vet. Don't know how I missed that starting off. They have locations all over Nashville and seem to be very well priced. Looks like the equivalent of what I had in Memphis. The locations look very clean as well. Anyone have any experience with this place?

DB I'll check into your places as well. Thanks.

I grew up in Nashville and we always used Dr. McCormick. He is located on Bell Rd. just off of I-40. He and the other vets in the practice are very experienced and compassionate. They might not be the cheapest but when I move back I will continue to use them.

On one occasion my mom's dog ,Bella, had a severe allergic reaction. Dr. Kahr treated Bella and asked if she could take her home that night so that she could keep an eye on her. It is personalized care like this, that will keep me returning for check ups and whenever the need arises.

Back when I lived in Nashvegas, I used a vet hospital named Hermitage Animal Clinic. Dont know how they stack up price-wise, but they were top notch.

Hermitage Animal Clinic was the practice of DR. David Wilder. Dr. Wilder was one of the best vets in the state, and in the South. Not just my opinion, but that of other vets and thousands of very happy clients. David cared for every furry companion of ours for over 30 years. And had he not retired almost 2 years ago, even though I now live across town; I would still go there

Dr. Fenwick is the only one of the current practcioners I know at HAC now. Good man. Not the caliber of  Dr. Wilder, but a good vet.

I use Anderson Vet Clinic just past Murfreesboro. May be a bit of a drive for you. My boxers yearly shots run less than 35$ and heartworm pills run 7$ a piece. I haven't found anyone in the area that compares. Of coursr I haven't really looked since I started going here.

Check out your nearest tractor supply. They should have a clinic once a month. Shots will cost you less than $20. For the spay, call the humane society and ask for the location of a low cost clinic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I've used Value Vet since I got my pitty over 5 years ago. Since then I've started taking my new border collie mix there as well and they treat them both with care and love. Prices are very reasonable and they've always done right by me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

There is a Value Vet in Bellevue on Old Hickory.  I have been taking my two little dogs to them for a couple of years and could not be happier.  Nice people, they really seem to care for the animals and the best vet prices around.

The grooming business next door also do a great job and are very reasonable.

That's good news. That's who we are planning on using for their shots and we will get a good feel for how they treat the animals then decide if we let them do the spaying. We have two dogs to do so I am thinking we will do them one at a time to minimize the stress on us haha.

We also use the Value Vet in Bellevue. I just took our dog in on Tuesday (4/22) for her yearly check-up with shots, etc.

I feel they do a great job. They are very good about explaining what they are doing, and what the costs will be for various

shots, tests, etc. I feel the are much more reasonable than a nearby Vet we previously used (with a previous dog that passed away from

old age a few years ago). A friend of ours recommended Value Vet to us when we got this dog as a puppy 1 1/2 years ago.

wow that place is cheap, we may start checking them out instead cause the fairview vet here costs us about $100+ every time we walk in the door.

It seems I can't walk into a vet with my dogs and it not cost $100 per dog.
