I finally did it!!!!

Recommended Posts

I have had the TGO lower sitting in the safe look at me every time I open the safe. I was at the show this weekend and found a builder there that built me a pistol upper for $275 otd. So I figured it was time to use the lower. I headed to another vendor that had complete blemished pistol tube and buffer for $20. I did not pick up a LPK because I figured I could find one for the same price at a LGS. I was running out of time so I passed on that and went home. I had some free time so I went to my new favorite shop and picked up a RRA LPK.

I got home and was a little tenitive to start on it because I had 4 kids to take care of and I usually only have 15ish mins before the Screams of daddy start. This was my first ever lower assembly, I figured it would take me longer my first time. I started by following a write up on how to assembly it, before I knew it I was done! I did learn 2 things: 1 take off rings before starting. 2. ARs are insanely easy to build!

I can't wait to start the next one. I will have pics up in the next day or so.

My TGO upper and lower are still sitting. I bought a barrel, lower parts kit, furniture, and a gas tube. I was only a few parts away to get it built  and ran out of money. I'll get to it soon. I had kinda forgotten about it until your post. Can't wait to see your pics!

I'm slowly accumulating parts for my TGO build also. I plan on building a 300 Blackout rifle that I can hunt with if I want. I've got the LPK, buffer and butt-stock, and recently picked up an ARStoner stainless barrel...just got to get the rest of the upper parts and then optics. It'll be a while. Very nice.  Not to hijack, but the 'wife's phone' reminded me of a funny story:

Used to live in NY state.  Had a company phone.  Left company, no longer had said phone.  Brother in law (in TN) texts me a photo of his new AR build, but mistakenly sends it to the old company phone number.  Gets phone call from NY State Police investigating harassing pics of a 'machine gun' being sent to a fearful libtard who took my place at the company.

I hope he has nightmares for the rest of his life.
