big game hunting guide

Recommended Posts

Anyone know what's up with the delay in the Big Game Hunting guides this year?

My local walmart just told me they are 4 or 5 weeks behind on getting them.  I don't know any other place in Oak Ridge that might have them.

I checked the website as I would rather have the PDF and page not found when you click the link from

http://www.tn.gov/twra/biggamehunt.html

I heard there have been some big changes in price in regards to riding 4 wheelers on WMA lands.

Seems a few years ago I got the permit with my hunting license and it wasn't much, but this year it is about 60 dollars.

Just trying to find out the facts.

Well, it looks like they added a place I normally go wheeling.  So it appears I need to have the stupid speical use permit 61 dollars to just go 4 wheeling now.

North Cumberland Special Use Permits
Th
ese permits must be purchased for horseback riding, bicycling and ORV
use. Youths under age 13 and persons holding a valid annual or permanent
hunting license with a valid permit to hunt on this area are exempt.

No permit shall be required on certain roads/trails as designated.

They added a place called Tackett Creek.  My favorite 4 wheeling area, mainly cause it is near where I grew up.
