Ruger 10/22 shipping

Just go to a store and buy one.  By the time you pay $20-$30 to transfer it and $17 to ship it, you are probably not going to save any money on a $200 gun.  I am a big proponent of online buying, but for little to no difference, I would just buy it near you somewhere.

I know that a handgun needs to be shipped to a FFL but how about a rimfire rifle?  If I were to order a Ruger 10/22 from Palmetto State Armory would it need to be shipped to a FFL or would it be shipped to the house?

Except for some C&R and inheritance situations , all firearm transfers between residents/entities of different states must go through FFL one way or the other along with NICS, commercial or private, and transfers from FFLs even in same state require the NICS.

The only thing different about handguns (and receivers) is that they must be received in state of transferee, while rifles and shotguns may be transferred via FFL in any state.
