Nothing But Wheel Guns

Thanks guys. Actually only 4 of these are mine. Two coworkers and I got together yesterday and shot all these fine pieces.

Going by the angled picture and from left to right they are: S&W 638, S&W 66, S&W 19-5, S&W 629, a new Ruger in .327 caliber, 1st gen vaquero in 44 mag, ruger blackhawk 44 mag, a Dan Wesson, and the 1934 Enfield.

Only if it was for a day or so. lol

LOVE that Smith 19-5! I have a blued 19 with a T-grip I got a few years ago. It is definitely one of my never let go guns.

That 19-5 was originally a blued gun.

I did wonder about that, but hey I can't keep all the Smith models straight.

I got a copy of the Standard Smith & Wesson catalog from a member here, and it has been one of the neatest and best books I have for firearms.

Yes they are, but it is hard to beat a 3" though.

The 3" is a great carry, and I'd have to say that for me...I really don't care if it's 2.5 or 3. I would like to have them all. lol

FWIW, and it's not much, my favorite range wheelie is a Model 19 with a 2.5" barrel. I've used it with some new shooters and it gets a great response. It is just so much fun to shoot.

Of course I'll start them out with 38 wadcutters to get them started. Then after a few reloads, I'll throw in a 357 just to get a reaction. That is always great.

Very nice. That camera angle really shows the sower and torque of the 44mag. And although supposedly not the better one, I really prefer the 4" over the 6".

Currently, the only 44mag I have is a Taurus. A 4' ported model. It shoots real well, though with the gas ports in it, you do seem to get a little backblast from it.

I shot a lot of 44Special thru it until they became hard to find and sometimes priceyer than the 44mag.
