Recommended Posts

Oh Shoot please explain.

The same federal restrictions on firearm possession apply to ammunition possession also:

    Has been convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding 1 year;

    Is a fugitive from justice;

    Is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance;

    Has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to a mental institution;

    Is an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United States or an alien admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa;

    Has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions;

    Having been a citizen of the United States, has renounced his or her citizenship;

    Is subject to a court order that restrains the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of such intimate partner; or

    Has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence

i hear dont break the law, dont break the law. one should do a search across this nation of the little things that if convicted one becomes a felon. it is enough to scare the crap out of a law abiding person.

Fill us in on the felonies we need to worry about unknowingly committing?

I only know two people that are trying to get their gun rights back, but neither deny committing their crime or say that they didn’t know it was a crime when they were committing it.

I am soon to be 47, I have never had a hankering to violate any law that would lead me to be a felon, its not in my DNA.  For that matter, no one in my family or extended family is a felon, and as for as I know, I know no one on a first name basis that has been a convicted felon.

wish i was compter savvy enough to do it. wont ever be but i have read that there are over 20 k weapons  statutes on the books. how many of u can quote them all if so.

I am sure I am not violating any felony weapons laws. Most are common sense, some are very specific. Most of the people violating those laws know full well they are poking the bear, and they want to cry like babies when they get slapped. Most involve playing the NFA game or transporting across state lines. If you want to play that game; that’s great, but you sure better know the laws and rules.

I agree that more crimes have been moved to felony class and I think part of that reason is to restrict fire arm ownership under the guise of being tough on criminals.
