This seems almost too cheap a price for a 1911. No matter who made it.

True or NO? I've been told the Para is manufactured under the Armscor umbrella of brands in the Phillipines.

So I'd have no issues with it.

OK, my source was mistaken I guess. He's one that knows "everything about all guns". We were talking about the RIA and Metro Arms I'd bought, and he went on to tell me that about the Para frames.

Oh well, not the first time I've been misled and wrong. I'm sure it won't be the last.

First I've ever heard that.  I always keep thinking they are made in Canadia but pretty sure they are made in North Carolina.

I bought a stainless Expert last Christmas, took it apart and did a full tune-up on it, and it is extremely accurate and brutally reliable.  I'd highly recommend them either as a basic 1911 or as a base for building a custom.  Much better QC on that gun than most of the Springfields I've seen lately.
