Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is targeting country music star Alan Jackson and comedian Jeff Foxworthy for agreeing to appear at the 2015 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibitions, April 11 in Nashville.

In response, Moms Demand Action posted an announcement to Facebook saying: “Alan Jackson and Jeff Foxworthy agreed to open [the 2015] NRA convention after the NRA pushed to arm convicted criminals, blocked federal gun violence research, and [their] board members promoted armed insurrection.”

They then called on gun control supporters to “educate these celebrities on the dangerous and irresponsible policies of the [NRA].”

I'd like to see "Moms Demand Action" confront Jeff Foxworthy and try to "educate" him.

No doubt it will be an interesting debate for sure....................jmho

Knock em out of the game and they just might get replaced with "someone competent against guns". I'm more than happy to see a non effective joke of an organization taking Bloomers money. They most likely spend more of their time and resources protecting their Facebook page then anything so I say good riddance, let em have their fun. They're not nearly as bad for gun owners PR as some gun owners are.

You know the idiots will be there in Nashville with their little signs along with support from a few local dolts, even if you don't go into the convention it's a good time for a tailgate party in downtown, also might be the right venue for an open carry demonstration.

No kidding.  I'd rather the cameras focus on the anti-gun crazies for protesting businesses and entertainers that appeal to everyday Americans rather than have idiots like Open Carry Texas, or any of the window licking militias doing their "training" be on the 'C' block of the news.

So does anyone know if you will be able to carry at the NRA convention? Considering most gun shows ban, I wouldn't be surprised.

It's in Bridgestone arena isn't it? I'm guessing the owners have a no gun policy inside the arena, but i'm just guessing since i've never been in there. Of course we can carry on the public sidewalks. What about some of these parking lots in downtown where people park fot the titans games, I believe some are state owned?

Correction: It's in the Music City Center from what i've read.

The MDA group has no idea about the concept of picking one's battles. Jeff Foxworthy and Alan Jackson make their living entertaining red blooded, gun toting Americans. Jeff and Alan will not lose one penny of income by standing firm, in fact it may very well help them earn more. Unlike Jay Leno, who may lose a sponsorship, there is no way they would cave to MDA.

FTFY.

The part I'm still trying to wrap my head around is that an anti gun group would encourage a pro gun group to chastise pro gun celebrities for working with a pro gun organization. WTF! I propose a change of name to MDMA to reflect what they must be smoking down at mad mom HQ.

...promoted armed insurrection...
Cool. Where and when?

Put your decoder ring on, go out at noon on a sunny day and point it at the nearest contrail. The details will be holographically projected in front of you.

If you get a message from Princess Leia you wore the wrong ring...

Nashville needs to pay for that blasted building WITHOUT raising my taxes to do so!!!

YES!! Bring all them tourist dollars in! My taxes are killing me every year.

Seriously, as a medically retired old fart on a low fixed income, all these wonderful projects Mayor Dean has implemented really are going to bite us in the buttocks I'm afraid.
