So has anyone done this with two AR15's?

You mean like this

http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/01/foghorn/gilboas-double-barreled-ar-15-makes-american-debut/

It’s a gimmick that serves no purpose. It has two triggers. As soon as someone modifies it so one pull fires both rounds; it will be a an illegal machine gun. One trigger on a single AR would be faster.

Anyone that thinks that should research the David Olofson case. He did 30 months in prison and is a convicted felon.

Me thinks this is the legal way

The letter R is the key in Rdias
Mr Olofson installed a M16 FCG and FA selector into a AR15 (a no,no) and experienced hammer follow or bolt bounce, now if Mr Olofson had a RDIAS his gun would have ran 100% and he wouldn't have spent 1 second in jail. Edited by Johnny Rotten

That may be a way to do it, but its NFA and it thousands of dollars.
