2 gun shows in Knoxville this weekend

Recommended Posts

There's a show at the Expo, what's the other?

Either way, unless you really want to deal with a bunch of greedy bastards trying to sell you not-banned ammo at prices inflated beyond all common decency....I would say it's not worth the trouble.  However, if you have a specific need it may be worth it.

If you hang around long enough, you can see an accidental discharge.  And then there's the water softener table......

Where is the other show ? I enjoy looking for the odd caliber ammo like S&W 32 Long or 30 Lugar that are not popular but do show up every now & then . The older vendors with the niche guns and accessories can usually have time to be social especially if you buy something from them..

How is the show at the Expo this weekend.  I decided to pass on it since they also have a home and garden show going on this weekend there.  I didn't think it would be worth it if the made the show smaller.

The Gunshow never uses the whole available space at the Expo and there is sometimes a second function going on there.

Didn't go, but feel safe opining it is same size as always.

Same size table-wise but less space.  The first couple of aisles to the left were compressed with more space give to the home & garden thing next door.  Went yesterday and it was basically impossible to move around.

I'm a newbie to the Knoxville area. Are there any decent gunshows around, and what are the ones to avoid? I like nice guns, not into tacticool.

From the prices I've seen at gun shows all over I believe there aren't many good prices at any gun show any longer.

The RK show under topic is generally reported as the largest in the state, maybe every other month or so, switches back and forth between Expo Center and Jacobs Building at Chilhowee Park.

Except for a smaller one at the Shriner Temple once in a blue moon and the Smoky Mountain Collectors show (once a year) that's about it. There's also one in Maryville once in a great while, never heard anything but ho-hum regarding it.
