Any interest in aftermarket triggers comparable to Timney if price was $125

Recommended Posts

They are a 3# module trigger made by Velocity triggers. The brothers that owned Timney split up and now one of the brothers has started offering these triggers. If there is enough interest my guy said that he would offer a 10% discount on top of that which puts it $85-$90 less than a Timney or other comparable trigger. They offer a few different models ranging up to 4.5# but as for right now I'd rather only have to keep track of one model. If this turns out to be an issue then I may rethink it but I'm just trying to keep it simple right now. This price is picked up in Murfreesboro but I could work out shipping for actual cost. You can Google Velocity Triggers or I believe the website is www.velocitytriggers.com and research them a bit. I'm headed out of town tomorrow for a pig hunt and will return on Monday so I'll see what kind of interest there is at that time. I will have Internet access when I'm not in the woods if anyone should have any questions but I guess it's pretty self explainatory.

I'm new to aftermarket drop in triggers, never felt the need to use them since I could tune milspec to run the way I wanted, but I am considering trying a few just out of curiosity. My main question: can these be easily disassembled for cleaning or replacement of worn parts? I wouldn't want a unit that is welded, pressed, or riveted together without serviceable parts, and I'm anal about gun cleaning so insist on getting to every tiny crevice.

I don't know of any of them that are welded or pinned. I've been able to disassemble mine just fine.

Sorry guys, my trip got prolonged and I've just made it back home in the last hour. I will figure everything out tomorrow and figure out how many are local and how many will need shipping. Either way, tomorrow I'll ask for everyone's final order and post some sort of payment instructions as well as an estimated delivery time.

Okay, When I left Dave's shop he was trying to get the trigger added to his website or to his Facebook store so that only folks from this thread can order at that price and to offer a payment method for any of you not local. It might be tomorrow before he gets it set up but he asked that I get a list of everyone's names and how many they want. Our internet has been hit and miss tonight but I'll try to get a pm to everyone as a reminder. Don't list your names here in open forum if you're not comfortable doing so, you're welcome to pm names and quantity wanted.

Guys, I'm very sorry, I should have updated this a few days ago but got very busy and am now flat on my back praying that I haven't ruptured one of the bad discs in my back. Anyways, I didn't realize but the guy the triggers are coming from made this offer to one other group as well as U.S. And they had until the end of the week to get their orders in. I'm going to attempt to get whoever ends up taking me for X-Rays tomorrow to swing by the shop on the way home. If this delay has changed anyone's mind then just let me know but everything else is still on track.

Any more word on these Luke?

Not yet and it's completely my fault. I've not been out of the house since Saturday and stuck in the recliner for most all of it. I'm at the doctors office now but I'm going by his shop on my way home so I'll stop by. I'll report back.

I spoke with Dave today and let him know that there might be a few that would choose the flat trigger if possible. He said that he is going to place both, the 3# curved and 3# flat, triggers on his website. Since everyone is in TN he has to charge sales tax so the price will be $125 total. This represents the 10% discount plus the 9.75% sales tax rounded up.
He told me that he will have these options on his website by Saturday and I told him that if he got busy and didn't get it on the website by then that I'd collect the money by PayPal or in person if you're local. Hopefully he'll take care of it by then to simplify things but I know you guys probably want to get the ball rolling. I will update everyone as soon as I get more info. Thanks for the patience, I'm about to go crazy not being able to do anything.
