Connecticut knows best

Recommended Posts

My cousin lives in Connecticut and explained the process to me...I don't remember everything, but I do remember feeling it was a very convoluted design meant to throw up every hurdle they can legally get away with, and some they are probably hoping survive court challenges.  They are also very time consuming, but can be overcome with a clean record and patience.

The limitations on what people there can have are just as bad if not worse than the permitting process.

Well how is that any different  than what we have here. If a bad guy wants to get a gun he will damn well get it if he has to steal it. If a bad guy wants to buy one he will and nothing will stop that even in Connecticut.................jmho

This. It isn't whether or not the program or law is efficient, logical or even Constitutional, it's about how it makes the people passing the law "feel" about themselves when they create these laws. Been that way going all the way back to the War on Poverty. Billions spent and poverty isn't any better than it was when they first began throwing tax money at it.
