Interested in seeing what the pay and benefits are. Building cars has run its course.

The pay scales were floating around on here either on TGO or a local news site. If I recall they were fairly good, north of 35k for "grunt" positions I think. Too far of a drive for me to consider applying.

I find it mildly ironic that the hiring event for a firearms manufacturer is being held in a venue wherein one could not possibly legally carry a firearm made by that manufacturer.  Or any other.  It's a curse I have for noticing things like this I guess.

Still, I'm glad to see Beretta coming to Tennessee and wish them and the job seekers who attend the best.  And safety.  :)

Wow I wasn't expecting them to be that high. That's right in line with what Nissan pays their new techs.

That is exactly the first thing I noticed as well. If I was Beretta, there is no way in h-e-double-hockey-sticks I would hold a hiring event at a college. I would hold it at a gun store, or a range; somewhere where people who support my business go.

I'm thinking they are going to get so many applicants, that there is not a range or gun shop around that could possibly hold them.

+1. Plus they're not trying to have a gun show or show off new products. They're looking for serious people to fill highly sought after job positions. That would be pretty hard to do with "Bubba" hanging out at the LGS talking bull about brand "X". Beretta's the oldest company in the world that's still in existence & has been building firearms for 500 years. I'd say they know a thing or two about how to run a business.

Me and the wife were talking about this last night if it was not such a drive she would be very interested. If it is like most manufacturing jobs now day's its just feed parts and push buttons all day no experience need.

That may be true, but the requirements I saw a while back said two years experience.
