Gas tube too long

Nevermind, it's not the tube. Measured the length going into the receiver and it's correct. The gas key's inner diameter is a bit off. ..

 

That would be a new one, and a truly bad day on the line for some manufacturer.

 

Sure the tube ain't just misaligned to the key, maybe due to gas block not being straight or tube just bent somehow?

Nope, after chamfering the opening of the gas key it lock. May need a little more fiddling with, but it's locking everytime now.

 

Edit: The big test will be whether or not this will cause locking issues at the end of cycling.

How weird. My guess is that if it does okay by hand, it'll do same when firing.
