New Order Firearms NO9 9mm

I just heard about New Order Firearms new 9mm pistol tonight on the Guns And Leather radio show on 99.7 FM out of Nashville.

Dennis Williams was talking very good about this company and their new 9mm pistol. It will be made all in the USA . All the metal parts will be machined from metal and no MIM or cast parts will be used. It will use magazine that already exit now , the Beretta M9/FS 9mm magazines. And here's a real cool feature. You can get them made totally for a left-handed shooter. The extractor and ejection port is on the left side. The trigger pull is measured at 5lbs and is a striker fired pistol. The frame is polymer. I wasn't able to find a picture of the frame without the slide taken off. I would like to see how the slide rails are molded into the frame and if they are metal or polymer (like the Ruger P95) or both (like the XD9/HS2000) .

That's all I know about it so far in the 1 hour that I have read about them . This sounds pretty neat .

Yeah I agree with all you guys but when I heard him talking about it , I thought I'd check it out. The one thing I cant seem to find out is how the metal is treated and hwo corrosion resistant they are .

But like I posted earlier last week , I'm still after the Canik TP9 SF . At least I know it is well tested and proven .

I'm just glad that isn't a FMK East.  http://fmkfirearms.com/

Looks sort of like a Canik TP9 clone.  http://www.luckygunner.com/lounge/canik-tp9-sa-budget-9mm-torture-test/

I don't get their business plan, introducing a pistol with a MSRP of 675.00 into a crowded field of plastic framed pistols.  It will be interesting to see if the elimination of MIM parts is an alleluia moment for the plastic framed gun industry or that their lefty friendly model will drive their sales enough to make a profit.

I'll say good luck.

I'm betting there are more durable MIM parts than some of the metal in this gun.

Just another fantastic plastic-think I will pass.It seems that there are continuously new plastic pieces in the makes.I for one get a little tired of all the polymer wonders.

I'm with you.  I always liked my Glocks as a SD gun because they are just plain tough and reliable and don't rust.  I've decided that I hate shooting them though.  I've been thinning down the Glocks in favor of steel and wood that just shoot better and have some character to them.  To each his own, I'm just finding polymer boring currently.
