Cycling with a can

Recommended Posts

I am having trouble with my glock 19 and 22 cycling with my octane 45, half of the time it doesn't return to battery.  I have to push the back of the slide with my thumb or push the trigger forward with my finger.  The guns are cleaned and lubed.  Any ideas?

HAHAHAHA.   By booster, do you mean the spring on the piston?

Yes, just making sure it wasn't a direct thread mount.  never assume anything.  If you have the piston mount then you need a stronger recoil spring. Remember you have a lot of weight hanging on the barrel and all the gas and energy normally used to cycle the action is what you're trying to suppress.

Just an update on this, I went back to the factory disconnect and got rid of the lone wolf 2.5 or 3.5 lbs(whatever it was) and it not cycles fine.  Looks like the threaded barreled guns will have to run the factory triggers.

Why would the trigger affect cycling?

If trigger doesn't reset, it won't cycle. Pretty common with aftermarket triggers when pushing the boundaries of the platform. My 22 upper will only run 100% with factory triggers. About 98% with aftermarket. Edited by Jct1911
