Description: U22 Neos 6in all black. I am not real big on the style but it is growing on me. I love the grip in my hand. And after shooting 1.5in five-shot groups fired at 25 yards from sandbag I think the accurcy is more than enough to sell me on this gun. I used CCI (as I almost always use in .22) I had zero problems with feed and shooting 70 rounds. The take down is very easy and simple. The gun has a sweet finish on it. The mag release is in a odd place being on the right side to the rear and above the trigger. I may add a cheap Red Dot just for fun. If you want a low priced 22 auto Single Action Only that is very accurate and well built do not overlook this U22.

The expanded petals also form a right angle from the shaft of the bullet for a super terminating effect. Overall, it has excellent penetration and weight retention through a variety of barriers. This load is perfect for home protection. 50 rounds per box. As a bullet penetrates soft tissue, it loses velocity, and this affects its "effective diameter." When the bullet first penetrates and expands, it is moving so quickly that it crushes almost all soft tissue it comes into direct contact with. However, as velocity begins to slow, soft tissue is then able to stretch around the smooth outer edges of the mushroom-shaped lead core shoulder to move out of the way. These claws protrude outward just slightly beyond the smooth outer edges of the mushroom-shaped lead core shoulder. Upon impact with flesh Ranger Talon outperforms conventional hollowpoint bullets. As it penetrates and slows it does not suffer a decrease in effective bullet diameter. This is because tissue that stretches and flows around the smooth shoulder of the mushroom-shaped lead core comes into contact with the sharp copper jacket claws and is lacerated.

Description: The 3rd generation S&W semi-auto pistol S&W Model 4006 was introduced by Smith & Wesson on January 17, 1990 along with the new .40 S&W cartridge. It is a stainless steel frame and slide double-action, semi-automatic handgun with 4 inch barrel, De-cock/safety and an 11-round staggered-column magazine. It replaced 2nd generation S&W semi-autos and featured a wrap around one piece grip versus standard 2 piece side grips and low profile 3 dot Novak sights. A lightweight aluminum framed S&W 4003 was also produced that weighed 800 grams (29 ounces) and was more comfortable to carry. The 4046 model was a DAO (double action only) pistol. The first 2 digits in the model number indicate caliber. The last digit either a 3 or 6 indicate aluminum or stainless steel frame respectively. Description: The Kel-Tec P3AT is a locked-breech, double action only .380 ACP pistol based on the Kel-Tec P-32. The frame is made of polymer with an aluminum insert, and the slide and barrel are steel. It is the lightest production .380 ACP pistol in the world at 8.3 ounces empty. Measuring only 5.2" long, 3.5" high and .77" wide, it is roughly the same size as many diminutive .22 and .25 caliber pistols. The P3AT cartridge capacity is 6+1, but there is a one-round magazine extension available. Trigger pull is a light 5 lbf. These attributes have made it a favorite for civilians with concealed carry permits and with law enforcement as a back-up or off-duty pistol. The P3AT lacks any sort of slide stop, omitted in order to keep the size similar to the P32. The P3AT had met with some criticism focused on its mostly polymer construction and the allegedly weak performance on .380 ACP round it fires. Both private owners and officers claim that since most self-defense situations occur within seven yards (21 feet) the P3AT is adequate. It has seen reliable sales for home defense, civilian concealed carry, or a law enforcement officer's off-duty or backup. The P3AT as well as the .380 round it fires have been marketed towards women due to the compactness and lower recoil, respectively. However, the small size and weight of the P3AT results in increased felt recoil, in some respects more intense than recoil from larger calibers in full-sized guns. This recoil is often described as snappy, and is felt primarily as a sting to the fingers, to distinguish from the push of a large caliber handgun that may be felt in the arm and body. The Kel-Tec P3AT comes with either blue, parkerized or matte chrome slide and black, grey or olive drab green polymer frame. Current production is the second generation model, with improvements to reliability over the first generation. The most easily distinguished difference between generations is the extractor. The first generation has a traditional external extractor parallel to the side of the gun, while the second generation has a button-head hex screw to the rear of the extractor, which is at an angle to the side of the gun. Both the P3AT and its cousin, the P32, are popular concealed carry guns with female shooters due to their small size and light 5 lb double action trigger pull. The P3AT is very well suited to a defensive role as it is small enough to fit into most purses yet uses .380 ammo which is considered by many to be the smallest trustworthy caliber for adequate stopping power and penetration. Shot about 250 rounds of cheap Winchester 9mm ammo and about 20 Winchester Ranger +P+. I couldn't be happier with the way it shot. I was expecting alot more recoil after shooting a Khar PM9, but this new Walther handled really well. Double taps were easy. Great trigger pull and reset. Good sights. Feels good in the hand. I shot it with the standard backstrap, and my friend who has really large hands put the larger backstrap on and loved it. Conceals well too- not as good as my j-frame, but for a semi auto with 6+1 rounds its great. Everyone that sees it really likes the looks and the thinness. I'm glad I got it. Description: This is a great, easily concealable, powerful gun. It has a double action only trigger which when dry firing feels extremely heavy, but you don't notice it much when you are firing the gun. It weighs 11.8oz empty, and fits easily into cargo or front (loose) pants pocket. The gun is composed of a scandium/aluminum alloy frame, titanium cylinder, and stainless steel barrel. Hogue manufactures the grip. I can carry this everywhere and nobody knows. I've fired both .38spl +P and .357 Magnum 125 grain Hydrashoks, and for carry, the +P makes more sense to me because of the tremendous recoil generated by these particular .357 Magnum cartridges. The first time shooting was spent getting used to the recoil. I was able to keep all the rounds in a 4" group at 10 yards though with Speer Gold dot 38+p defense ammo. This is hands down the best carry gun I've owned. Other guns, while great, are heavy compared to this one, and since it's a revolver, it's always going to fire.

Description: I was going to put this under "training" but I took the liberty of using firearms because in a few states like the People's Republic of New Jersey, air guns are listed as firearms ( thankfully I no longer live there ) and in places like national parks, possession of an air gun could get you arrested. That too has to change. Anyhow here goes. This gun is a very economical method of accuracy training. It costs about $275 as opposed to over $1200 for a Fenworkbau match air pistol but as far as I can see, its accuracy easily approaches that of the more expensive gun. The quality of construction is above average for an air gun of this price and the adjustable hard wood grips fit my hand nicely. I did have to mold the leading edge on the left front of the grip to fit my finger curl but the manufacturer expects the grips to be altered to meet an individual's standards. it is a single pump, single shot air pistol that has little or no recoil which allows the pellet to go where the gun is pointed without being effected by barrel bounce, common in air pistols. If you want to practice target hold and trigger control I can't think of a better way to do it. I set up a shooting range in my lower level at the Olympic distance of 10 meters or 33 feet American. The gun shoots .177 pellets and a tin of 500 costs about $7.50 - $10.00. It makes a pop noise about the same volume as a clap of the hands and can be shot into a cardboard box filled with newspaper. The gun shoots pellets at about 475 feet per second and is set up for target use. I would not expect it to be good for small varmints due to its low velocity. If you think you are a good shot with a center fire pistol, try one of these, it may take you down a notch or two. The reason being is that if your hold is not repeated and there is any trigger jerk of any kind at all, it will reflect in your shot and your accuracy will be off considerably. Air pistols are a great training aid and can easily fit into one's collection of firearms as a wonderful means to achieve better shooting skills. The few things that some people may find as a negative about this gun is that it is made in Russia and there is only a 90 day warranty on it, long enough to cover "infant mortality", in other words a bad one off the assembly line but a bit short on complete coverage of the normal year we are used to in other products. All in all for the price, this has been a fabulous item that I use every day to sharpen up my skills.

Helpful staff who are also very safety conscious. A limited selection of on-site weapons and basic add-ons but they are willing to special order as necessary. The range facility is 25 yards for pistol calibers/shotguns(slug) only. I believe 10 lanes total. The only problem I had with the lanes is that they are dimly lit and cold but this is fairly standard. A good place to shoot and probably "hang out" if you are into that.

Description: This is a free rifle range on the Union County, Claiborne County lines, off HWY 33 by Norris Lake head down into Sharp's Chapel and follow the road down toward the Chuck Swan Game Management Area. You will see a sign that says "Rifle Range," and points to a campground and about 30 feet of dirt road. This range has 2 benches and berms at 50 and 100 yards although they pace out to be around 40 and 80 yards. No rangemaster and not really any rules except no alcohol and no glass bottles. More often than not you'll run into Union Co. deputies shooting down there in their off duty hours. Range is closed during big game hunts in Chuck Swan.
